This past week, we were able to hop on the Explorer hosted by Rivers of Steel. The Explorer is the world's first green passenger riverboat, built to LEED standards. We love Pittsburgh and sustainability, and we are excited to see this unique way to experience the city!

The Explorer takes you on all three of our city's rivers, allowing you to immerse yourself in Pittsburgh's rich history and enjoy the amazing views. All proceeds from sightseeing tours and from private charters help to underwrite Rivers of Steel’s STEM-based education programs for students throughout southwestern Pennsylvania.

The Uniquely Pittsburgh Sightseeing Tour takes you on the Ohio, Monongahela, and Allegheny Rivers. The tour shares our city's foundational history as well as lesser-known tales and how it shapes today's Pittsburgh.
