Pittsburgh Three Rivers-Activities

Living in the City of Bridges affords Pittsburghers many opportunities to experience activities along our three rivers. We're sharing all of the ways you can enjoy them. Wait till the river levels subside or you'll be underwater

Biking

Three rivers of trails to enjoy city views and just happen to be lovely biking trails. Rent a bike from Golden Triangle Bike, Pogoh, or bring your own to ride along the scenic paths. Learn more about the 33 nonlinear Three Rivers Heritage Trail system at Friends of the River Front.

Kayak Pittsburgh

Venture Outdoors has many activities to enjoy, and their Kayak Pittsburgh arm let's you connect closely with the nature of the river.  They book quickly, so plan one of their kayaking adventures starting in May.

At the confluence of the three rivers is the majestic fountain at Point State Park.  Visit on a hot day to indulge in the oversized fountain's cooling mist.  We love that there are wide walkways and benches for ample strolling and stopping.

Pontoon Rentals

Enjoy a day on the water with family or friends when you book a Pontoon with Three Rivers Boat Rental located in Millvale.

Gateway Clipper

From tours to parties, the Gateway Clipper has an event to suit any interest, all while floating in luxury down our three rivers.  Check their event schedule here.

Tiki Boat

Seeing a tiki boat bobbing on the river always brings a grin to my face.  Enjoy some fun loving tropical vibes on the water with Cruisin' Tikis Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Pirate Ship

Arrgh, the Pittsburgh Pirate Ship will have you channeling your inner Buccaneer.  Available for private rentals or hour group cruises, we think this is the perfect pairing to a Pirates game.

Three Rivers Regatta

Have you heard that the Regatta is making a comeback in the Burgh?  While dates have not been announced, this event celebrates with vibrant boating events all weekend long.

Rivers Inspiration

We can't help but be inspired by the beauty and significance of the Monongahela, Allegheny, and Ohio rivers in our backyard.  They are featured front and center in our signature Rivers Stripe design on all of our favorite apparel, accessories, and more.

While on your river adventures be sure to wear some Pittsburgh gear like our hoodie for cooler weather kayaks and boat tours, t-shirts for day, and even River Stripe Koozies to keep your bevvies chilled.

Check out the full Rivers Stripe collection.
