Taking Our Hat On The Road

Taking Our Hat On The Road

This summer has been full of road trip adventures for my family. We recently returned from a southern college tour, hitting 6 campuses and sandwiching a family visit in Florida in between schools. Here are some highlights of our Rivers Stripe Hat along on the tour.

Knoxville

Knoxville is an amazing small town, feeling like a sister city to Pittsburgh. We were lucky to discover tasty  The French Market Creperie as soon as we arrived. There are loads of amazing murals here, and the proximity to Dollywood makes this lovely lady shine:

Tuscaloosa

First time in Alabama, and this campus looks like an imagined hollywood set of an American college. Spralling green lawns, gorgeous old brick buildings, meticulously maintained greek houses, and a 100,000 seat stadium. Things sure are big in the south! Roll tide!

tallahassee

Another city that feels like it could be Pittsburgh's sister. Surprisingly hilly for flat Florida, made up of different neighborhoods, with a super pretty campus. Fell in love with the Railroad Square Arts District and discovered Social Status sister shop, APB.

jersey shore

Earlier this summer we spent a wonderful week with our extended families on the Jersey Shore. Where did you travel or plan to visit? Did you take any love, Pittsburgh with you? We would love to share, so please tag us in your adventures this summer, and the rest of the year! Safe travels.
