It's official--all three of our store locations have received the GOLD designation through the Sustainable Shops program by Sustainable Pittsburgh! As a small business, we work hard to embed sustainable practices in every decision and in how we operate. Here are a few of the ways we have achieved a GOLD designation.
Upcycled & Thrifted
When opening our Strip location, we collected upcycled or thrifted furniture to decorate our floor. By upcycling furniture, we are prolonging the life of these products and conserving energy by opting out of a new product. Many of the products that we sell are made with upcycled materials or use plastic-free packaging. Shop our sustainable gifts here!
Reused & Recycled Supplies
Every packaging material that comes in, we try to reuse. Whether it's for shipping packages or reusing for internal purposes, any supplies we receive from other vendors or customers gets another cycle of life! Once the material is on its last legs, we recycle in accordance with our local municipality. When we purchase any new shipping supplies, we always choose 100% recycled with post-consumer content.
