Spooky Activities Around Pittsburgh

Even though Covid has made this entire year spooky, we are still excited to celebrate October and do all the spooky things! We've compiled a list of activities from ghost tours to escaping from a killer's lair that we know you'll love.

Haunted Pittsburgh Ghost Tour

This walking tour dives deep into Pittsburgh history to unearth forgotten tales — all featuring a good scare or two. Prepare to learn a few juicy Steel City secrets! Tours are every Friday and Saturday, starting at 7:00 pm.

ZooBoo

Drive through the Zoo and collect sweet treats at each candy stop, visit the Trick-Or-Treat Trail for even more goodies, wave to some of your favorite characters, and see the animals celebrate with their own Halloween-themed treats. The Zoo will close to general admission on October 17, 18, 24, 25 for this fundraiser. All vehicles must have a ZooBoo Drive-Thru ticket in order to enter.

ScareHouse

This activity is for those who love a good scare! Did you know that Pittsburgh Zombies love shopping malls? Visit the ScareHouse at their new location to visit one of “America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions!"

Haunted Gateway Clipper Cruise

Sail off into the night on a haunted Gateway Clipper Cruise. Hear “true” haunted tales of Pittsburgh that center around historical areas and landmarks along the Three Rivers as well as under the waters!

Stalked By A Killer Escape Room

This escape room is perfect for the spooky season. The clock is ticking, the room is filling with poisonous gas, and you have just one hour to escape with your lives. Armed only with your wits, you and your friends must solve a series of fiendish puzzles from the mind of a deranged maniac. Try to escape from the killer’s lair before your time runs out!

Bump In The Night

Kids and their adults are invited to Frick Park for an evening of fun fall activities that they can do together at our annual Bump in the Night. This year, Bump in the Night has a new look. Sign up for a hike and have fun at each of the stops along the path. At the end of the hike, each child picks their perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch to take home.

See what's new at Bump in the Night this year.
