Shopping in Pittsburgh

Shopping in Pittsburgh

One of the best ways to explore a city is to eat and shop your way through it. In Pittsburgh, this is quite an easy task, given all the local shops and restaurants that are scattered throughout the city. In this blog, we are detailing all the amazing local shops and eateries that surround our two store locations in Mt. Washington and Downtown.

301 Shiloh - Our Mt. Washington Location

After visiting our shop located right on the corner of Shiloh Street and Virginia Avenue, you may ask yourself, where to next? And do we have answers...

One of our favorite local spots to grab a quick bite and drink is just a three minute walk down Shiloh. The Summit offers a variety of hand-crafted cocktails and upscale entrees. We definitely recommend adding this to your list of restaurants to try in Pittsburgh.

If you have a sweet tooth, you are also a short walk away from taming your cravings. Grandview Bakery is a two minute walk down the street! You can choose from over 100 bakery options and indulge in a sweet treat. The bakery also offers a few gluten free options for anyone who follows a gluten free diet. We believe the best way to enjoy a Grandview Bakery treat is while admiring the Pittsburgh skyline at the Grandview Overlook (which is right down the street)!

Located right near the overlooks are the Monongahela and Duquesne Inclines. For just $5 roundtrip, you get to see a spectacular view of the city and you have the chance to explore Mt. Washington and Station Square. If you live in Pittsburgh and have not been on the incline, we won't rat you out, but seriously, why haven't you gone yet?!

805 Liberty - Our Downtown Location

Located at 805 Liberty Ave, our second shop location is always buzzing with city life. With chain eateries and local shops all around, there is never a dull moment.

Sinful Sweets offers a wide range of sweet treats, with the fan favorite being their edible cookie dough. The store is just a five minute walk down Liberty Avenue from our shop.

We also want to shout out two of our favorite local boutiques; Boutique La Passerelle and Fresh Nostalgia

Boutique La Passerelle is a six minute walk down Wood Street. The boutique offers eclectic European clothing with Pittsburgh flare. Their exclusive pieces are only stocked in one size run, so you are sure to find unique apparel at BLP.

With both a brick and mortar location and a mobile fashion truck, Fresh Nostalgia Boutique offers unique, vintage inspired clothing pieces. Located at 143 Sixth Street, the boutique is a six minute walk from our downtown location. Their store is meant to offer a smaller selection of pieces aimed toward the creative professional.

Shopping Local with Us

We love discovering new neighbors around our two locations of love, Pittsburgh and are hopeful that our neighborhoods grow and expand to support more local makers. Until then, visit the shops and restaurants that we mentioned above and let us know what you think!
