It’s always enjoyable to be able to dine al fresco; especially during this time of year when the temperatures start to cool down. Below you’ll find some of our favorite spots for outdoor dining!
RedFin Blues
One of the best views along the river, Redfin Blues is located on the small island of Washington’s Landing. This waterfront spot has pub-style seafood and buckets of beer to enjoy while watching boaters and kayakers breeze by along the Allegheny River.
Apteka
APTEKA features Central and Eastern European vegan cuisine. Yes, they have pierogis and they are excellent. Their rustic outdoor setting is nestled in the neighborhood houses of Bloomfield surrounded by gardens and candlelight.
Coughlin’s Law
Our neighbor on Mount Washington, Coughlin's Law, is one of our local favorite spots! Sit on their outdoor patio to get a snippet of a the skyline and explore their delicious menu. Follow them on their socials to stay updated on their daily and weekly specials!
Over Eden
Over Eden is a rooftop restaurant and garden bar with a spectacular view! They have fresh summer cocktails, a delicious Mediterranean and Eastern European inspired menu. We highly suggest making a reservation during sunset!
Spoonwood
Spoonwood features a rotating beer selection along with cocktails for the non-beer drinkers. Sunday brunch is delicious, but be sure to make a reservation for outdoor seating. Bring your pups and kids along to enjoy the large fenced in grass area too!
Mindful Brewing
Mindful is another tasty brew pub that's located in the South Hills. They have a large outdoor dining area with picnic tables and umbrellas on an AstroTurf carpet creating a bit of greenspace along Route 88. We appreciate the sustainable menu and vegetarian options as well as the large beer and wine selection, which you can shop to take home.
Wheelfish Grille
Wheelfish Grille in the North Hills has classic BBQ fare that is smoked in house. Enjoy a casual dinner with friends and family with their rotating menu and local desserts from Leona's and Millie's.
Nicky’s Thai - Northside
This local Thai restaurant has a few locations, but we really love the colorful and lively patio on the Northside. Enjoy scrumptious Thai food while surrounded by beautiful plants and water features.
Mediterra Cafe
Mediterra has two locations (Mt. Lebanon and Sewickley) that serve up wonderful baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and espresso drinks. They have a small European style market to grab items on the go, like fresh baked bread and artisanal cheese. A sweet spot to meet up for lunch and people watch.
