Yay May! Spring sure feels good after a winter that wouldn’t go away. The birdsong and colorful blooms are making us so happy. You know what else makes us happy? Moms. How cool are moms? First, we have a Mother’s Day gift guide for you.
Mother's Day Gift Guide
The Home Sweet Home candle from Soyil is a local favorite. Greta’s all-natural, dye-free, scented soy candles are inspired by nature and style, made right in Mount Washington!
We offer an assortment of tea towels, and especially love Worker Birds Bridges towel. Pick up a pair, and spend an afternoon making memories by baking a favorite treat with your mom.
After baking clean up, mom could sure use a little TLC for her hands. Lovett Sundries Lemongrass Hand cream is just what she needs. Lovett says it best: “We whip up the perfect blend of olive oil, coconut oil, and beeswax into this delightfully thick lotion that goes on cool and leaves behind only the sweet scent of happy bees on a warm summer day.”
Adorn those soft hands with a metal cuff. Studebaker Metals specializes in hand-forged and fabricated goods right in Braddock. They use traditional hand tools and techniques to produce heirloom quality pieces, like our favorite: the polished copper Workshop Cuff.
If you are away from your mom this year, how about mailing this “Someone in Pittsburgh Loves You” card from Sapling Press? Go ahead and fill the inside with your favorite mom moments.
