Downtown

The City Brunch

Eat:

The Commoner: Open from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. This restaurant offers elevated pub foods and is located in the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. This perfect brunch spot offers all the classics plus great cocktails. Looking for more options? Fairmont and Speckled Egg both know how brunch!

Activities:

Window shop and stop by our store located at 805 Liberty Avenue, which is only a four minute walk from The Commoner. Celebrate Mom's Day with locally sourced gifts from love, Pittsburgh!

Lawrenceville 

The Relaxed Brunch

Eat:

The Abby on Butler: Open for brunch from 10 am to 3 pm. The brunch menu offers classic breakfast options with an upscale twist, they also have a coffee bar where you can order anything from a cappuccino to a mimosa. If the weather permits, outdoor seating is available - the perfect place for a Mother's Day brunch.

Activities:

Mix Candle Co: Open from Sunday - 11am-6pm and Monday - Saturday 11am-8pm. Stop in to curate your own candle. At Mix Candle Co, you get to personalize a fragrance that will always remind you of your mom on Mother's Day.

 

 

The Go-Getter Brunch

Eat:

Lola’s Eatery: Open from 10 am - 1 pm on Sunday for takeout only. Grab a breakfast sandwich and a coffee to go and enjoy your food while strolling down Butler Street.

Activities:

Arsenal Bowl: A 15-minute walk from Lola's Eatery, Arsenal Bowl is the perfect spot to have fun, unwind, and maybe get a little competitive. Every Sunday, from 12 pm - 3 pm it costs $9.95 for all you can bowl!

 

The Mom On-The-Go Brunch

Eat:

La Gourmandine: Truly wonderful spot for pastries in the Burgh.

 

Activities:

Spend some time at Arsenal Park. A perfect spot to eat your healthy, take-out brunch and enjoy quality time with your mom. If you are on the go, window shop down Butler Street before heading home.

 

 Shadyside

The Boozy Brunch

Eat:

The Yard: Open from 10:30 am - 4 pm. The menu is full of comfort foods that will definitely put you in a food coma, but it is well worth it. Choose from basically bottomless mimosas for $15 or bottomless bloody marys for $18 for an extra fun time. 

Activities:

Depending on how many mimosas you drink, you may need a nap after brunch. But if you are feeling up for it, there are plenty of small shops and boutiques on Walnut Street to browse.

 

Southside

The Trendy Brunch

Eat:

Bonfire Food and Drink: Open from 11 am - 3 pm, Bonfire offers a unique array of breakfast foods with a great vibe. Located right on East Carson Street, there is plenty to do after you finish eating.

Activities:

Go thrifting at Southside's second-hand shops! Open from 12 - 5 pm, Highway Robbery Vintage offers a variety of men's and women's clothing from the 1950s to the 1990s and is a three minute walk from Bonfire. Buffalo Exchange is open from 12 - 6 pm on Sunday and is a 12 minute walk from Bonfire, offering great second-hand finds. A Goodwill and a Salvation Army are also located in Southside! An honorable mention that is sadly closed on Sunday is Zed's. A small business that offers vintage clothing and trendy sneakers, just three minutes down the street from Bonfire. 

 

The Hip Brunch

Eat:

Le Petit Cafe & Grille:  Pretend you're in Paris at this cute cafe. They carry La Prima Espresso, Breadworks Bread, and Strip District Meats. 

Activities:

Boutique shopping! The Culture Shop is open from 12 -5 pm on Sunday and offers an eclectic assortment of accessories and clothing pieces.

Station Square

The Fancy Brunch

Eat:

The Grand Concourse: Open from 10:30 am - 2 pm. The Sunday brunch buffet is back by reservation only! For $32 per adult or $18 for kids 12 and under, you can enjoy an incredible assortment of breakfast and lunch options.

Activities:

Take the incline up to Mt. Washington. Enjoy the view and take some great pictures of the skyline, then visit our store located at 301 Shiloh Street. Spoil your mom and buy her a locally-made gift!

 

The Strip District

The OG Pittsburgh Brunch

Eat:

Pamela's (8 am - 2 pm), Deluca's (7 am - 3 pm), or Kelly O's (7 am - 2pm): You cannot go wrong with any one of these Pittsburgh classics. The diner game is unmatched at the Strip District.

Activities:

Shop at the local vendors along Penn Ave, don't forget to buy some Mother's Day flowers! One of our makers, Steel City Salt Company, is a local vendor in The Strip, so be sure to stop by if you see them!
