Local Impact in 2020

Local Impact in 2020

2020 was like a ride on the Racer, sometimes you're on the right track and winning, sometimes you're behind trying to catch up.  You always have your hands in the air, screaming, laughing, sometimes cry-laughing, waiting for the next curve, drop, hop, racing to the very end.

We shared so many ups and downs, laughs and cries. Yet here we are, and we are so happy to still be here.

As many of us are looking forward to the close of 2020, we want to thank you for helping to support our mission to support local artists and makers.

While we faced uncertainty like all small businesses this year, we saw you making a commitment to shop local.  This made a huge impact for us and for the artists and makers we carry.

By shopping with us you helped us pay out over $130,000 this year to over 100 different Pittsburgh-based businesses.

Your purchases made this possible.  We wouldn't be here without you!

As a women-led company, we are proud that of our 130+ artists and makers, over 70% of them are women-owned business.

This year we started carrying 5 new black-owned businesses and will continue to increase the diversity of the vendors we carry.

And we are thankful to have donated over $1,500 to local organizations despite the challenges this year brought.

You stepped up, went out of your way to shop local, supported small businesses, sent love and encouragement, and were totally awesome.  Most of all you believed in us, and that means more than you can imagine.

Thank you for joining us on this roller coaster of a year.

We are peaking around the corner, wondering what will 2021 bring?  The Thunderbolt? Lazer Loop? The Whip? Raging Rapids?  We are ready to buckle up and ride the next wild ride side by side with you, Pittsburgh.
