Local Halloween Candies

Local Halloween Candies

Halloween is this weekend, which means it’s time to stock up on all of the candies essential for trick-or-treating!  We’re here to give you a list of local candies and candy shops perfect for the holiday.  In our Local Pittsburgh Candy Shops blog post written in 2020 we listed Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, Katie’s Kandy, Sarris Candies, Fudge Farm, and S&S Candy & Cigar Company. Here’s some more shops for you to check out, not just for trick or treating, but for your sweet tooth as well.

The Speckled Hen

The Speckled Hen is Western Pennsylvania’s newest gourmet chocolate company.  They opened in the Spring of 2013 and have been steadily growing every since.  They make high quality chocolate to be enjoyed piece by piece, or by the box.  Their goal is to create the most unique chocolate items that you will ever find.

Pollak’s Candies

Pollak’s Candies is a third generation, family-owned and operated business manufacturing fine chocolates since 1948.  “Time-tested recipes, high-quality ingredients, and personal attention to packaging and service have resulted in our excellent reputation.”  They work as a family with the same principles their grandfather taught them years ago.  Each piece of candy is made from scratch and decorated by hand.

Sinful Sweets

Sinful Sweets was established in 2011 by owner Christopher Weck. This company has a distinct family feel and uniqueness in its handmade confections. They have plenty of flavors for your candy jar including maple creams, honey, whiskey, bourbon, and crown royal maple bacon truffles.

My Favorite Sweet Shoppe

This candy shop is Pittsburgh’s #1 place for custom chocolate and sweet designs.  Their goal is to bring your favorites to life in a tasty treat. The Shoppe was founded on the principles of providing their local community with products and customer service that is second to none.  “By providing hand-dipped chocolates and partnering with the best vendors, we guarantee that all our guests can find something to satisfy their sweet tooth!”
