How To Be A Good Plant Parent

Having greenery around you can be very beneficial as it can boost your mood, relieve stress, purify air and overall add some fun into your life.  However one needs to be a good plant parent to reap the benefits.

In the store we carry a variety of plants all having slightly different care instructions.  But you’re in luck because we are here to help break down those steps!

Whole Lot of Hoya's

The Hoya Heart, Hoya Kentiana, and Hoya Chelsea plants all follow the same care instructions,

Lighting: medium to high light is preferred - near a window

Watering Frequency: weekly

Watering Amount: allow soil to dry out between waterings

Soil: these plants require well-draining soil, utilizing a cacti or succulent mix is best

Pot It Like It's Hot!


The Philodendron Birkin, Peperomia Cubensis, and Peperomia Piccolo Banda share the same instructions as well,

Lighting: medium to high light preferred - near a window

Watering Frequency: weekly

Watering Amount: allow soil to dry out between waterings

Soil: indoor potting mix is best

Lastly, our Haworthia and Orchid Cactus grow to the beat of their own drum and have slightly different care instructions,

Haworthia:

Lighting: high light preferred - on a windowsill

Watering Frequency: every other week

Watering Amount: allow soil to dry out completely between waterings

Soil: this plant requires well-draining soil, utilizing a cacti or succulent mix is best

Orchid Cactus:

Lighting: medium light preferred - near a window

Watering Frequency: every other week

Watering Amount: allow soil to dry out completely between waterings

Soil: indoor potting mix is best
