First Gallery Crawl of 2022!

First Gallery Crawl of 2022!

The Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl is always a blast for us Downtown. We turn up the music, extend our hours to 10pm, love seeing new faces, and enjoy the art-loving energy. We are so looking forward to tonight's crawl!

There is a multitude of events to check out. Here some highlights:

Pop up artist Market

Right upstairs from us is the Pop Up Artist Market, featuring one-of-a-kind original art from from artists in residency at Nafasi on Centre and The Ohringer. We encourage you to make it up to the fourth floor check it all out.

The Border Is a Weapon

The Border is a Weapon is an exhibition of new artwork from the US/MX border region, curated by Laredo, TX artist and educator Gil Rocha and presented by Other Border Wall Project. This exhibition will feature rising-star artists Maritza Bautista, Angel Cabrales, Juan de Dios Mora, Daniela Madrigal, and José Villalobos, whose work includes sculpture, printmaking, video, and performance.

Byron Nash

Friend and Pittsburgh-based Byron Nash is performing as part of the WPTS Radio Showcase. See him perform downstairs from us in the Peirce Theater at 6PM. Byron  has spent years electrifying live audiences in bands (SPORADIC, Formula412) and sharing stages with acts including Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, N.E.R.D., and Phil Lesh. Nash’s debut single, "Tug Of War," brings his solo work out of the woodshed, elevating him from “guitarist in the band” to the forefront as a solo artist. For listeners who fancy the fiery guitar-work of Gary Clark, Jr., and Jack White mixed with dashes of Frank Ocean and Ed Sheerhan, Nash’s single from his forthcoming EP, produced by Harrison Wargo (aka Badboxes), that the Pittsburgh City Paper calls a "wildly fun and inventive collection of tracks that are hard to categorize but extremely easy to listen to."

Jesse Farley

We are thrilled to feature both original art and prints by Jesse Farley at our Downtown location. Jesse creates gorgeous meditative hand drawn geometric art, including Gold In Them Hills, Pink Mandala, and Dudes New Rug. Also showcased is a brand new piece Jesse just completed that you need to see in person!

Stop in while you soak in the art.
