Friends Of The Riverfront on the South Side
Celebrate Earth Day 2023 Saturday April 22nd on the South Side, with Friends of the Riverfront, REI, South Side Community Council, and more! Head to the Three Rivers Heritage & Water Trails in South Side Riverfront Park for trail-based activities, outdoor vendors, volunteer opportunities, food, music, and fun! Attendees can win a $100 REI giftcard and other prizes!

Allegheny Land Trust at Girty's Woods
Join Allegheny Land Trust April 22 for a volunteer workday at Girty’s Woods Conservation Area. To celebrate Earth Day, they will be working to restore healthy woodlands by planting trees. More about the event:
- Rain or shine, will cancel in case of thunderstorms.
- Dress for muddy conditions.
- ALT provides tools, bring your own gloves (extra gloves and masks are available)
- Children welcome, must be accompanied by an adult.
- Drive through the gate at the end of Irwin Lane, parking is available at the end of the gravel access road past the blue ALT sign.

Pittsburgh Earth Day Business Breakfast
Pittsburgh Earth Day is hosting the 9th annual Sustainable Business Breakfast, at the Fairmont Pittsburgh Hotel, on Friday, April 21st from 8 AM – 10 AM, as part of The Green Voice Speaker Series. Event attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast while hearing from a panel of local sustainability leaders and experts.
The Big K Morning Show starring Larry Richert and Marty Griffin will be broadcasting live from the event!
The panel discussion, moderated by S & B USA Director of Environmental Social Governance and Innovation, Grant Ervin, will cover topics that range from both large and small, like the shift to a circular economy, the future of sustainability, and the responsibility of businesses in the fight against climate change.
