Best Places for a Galentine's Day Brunch

Best Places for a Galentine's Day Brunch

Looking for that perfect merge of breakfast & lunch plus an excuse for bottomless mimosas at 10am? The Pittsburgh food scene has you covered! This city is loaded with an endless array of amazing brunch venues to kick start your Galentines weekend. Here is a list of some of my favorite go-to brunch spots so that you and your gal pals can celebrate!

Mediterra (Mt. Lebanon & Sewickley)

If you love fresh pastries, Insta-worthy dishes, and a market with lots of pasta, Mediterra is the place to go. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is very chill and welcoming. There's a lot of fantastic dishes on the menu, but if you aren't sure where to start, my personal favorites are the milk bread French toast and the matcha latte.

The Porch (Oakland & Siena)

A Pittsburgh staple, the Porch is a great place to go if you and your friends want farm fresh ingredients or want to take a walk through Schenley Park afterwards. This place gets pretty busy so there may be a wait time, but trust me, it's definitely worth it. Some notable meals from here include the Porch Omelette and the Chicken and Waffles.

Kaya (Strip District)

If you're looking for somewhere to eat after checking out our Strip District location, you're in luck because Kaya is only a 5 minute walk away! From vegan dishes, to tacos, to oxtail stew, Kaya's eclectic menu has something for everyone. If you want a recommendation, try the crispy tofu and seared salmon!

Speckled Egg (Downtown)

This is an egg-cellent brunch spot! If eggs aren't your thing, they also have toasts, sandwiches, salads, and buttermilk poppyseed pancakes! Located in Downtown Pittsburgh, the Speckled Egg is the perfect place to go if you want to spend a day exploring the city afterwards.

Pamela's Diner

To end this list, we have none other than the iconic Pamela's Diner. This is a Pittsburgh staple and is ideal for anyone who wants a casual, classic diner experience. There's a lot of options on the menu, but nothing beats the famous hotcakes.
