When they say time flies when you're having fun they really do mean it. From my first day on June 1st to now I have been able to gain such an amazing experience with my friends at love, Pittsburgh.
About Me
I am a recent graduate from West Virginia University where I received a degree in Fashion Merchandising and minors in public relations and strategic social media. As I entered my senior year I knew that finding a summer internship needed to be at the top of my list. When I began thinking of possible companies I reverted back to recommendation that was made to be by one of my professors. That recommendation was love, Pittsburgh. After reaching out to Kelly and communicating back and forth I had this feeling that I was about to have an experience where I would learn a lot.
My Experience
I was super excited to start and be able to put my existing knowledge to use. As we got into the projects I quickly realized that not only was I going to be using my skills but also learn a ton more. Throughout the entire process I have been able to work on so many fun projects. Being able to share my ideas with them and have them be received and appreciated and even turned into a tangible product is something I never imagined I would experience. I was also able to really discover new skills that I didn't realize I had a passion for. I spent a lot of time creating blog posts and Instagram content and it allowed me to come to the conclusion that I want to create a personal blog and write about my interests and experiences.
Future Endeavors
As for where I am going now I have recently began working with Aerie and have been promoted to sales lead. I am excited to see where this journey will take me and I can truly thank love, Pittsburgh and Kelly and Monica for giving me a new outlook on what I want my future to look like. I have thrived in this creative environment and enjoyed the freedom I was given.
If you have made it to the end, thank you for reading about my experience and a special thank you to Kelly and Monica for giving me this wonderful experience. And as always its not a goodbye but a see you later!
