A Black and Golden shopping spree: love, Pittsburgh launches contest to celebrate 5 years

love, Pittsburgh, a locally-focused gift shop with three locations, is celebrating five years in their first store located on Mount Washington which opened on July 4, 2017. To commemorate this milestone, love, Pittsburgh will be offering their biggest giveaway ever: a $500 shopping spree.

Beginning June 1, 2022, love, Pittsburgh will be launching their Black and Golden Ticket Contest. Come to any of the store locations or shop online to purchase a love, Pittsburgh Chocolate Bar. With each chocolate bar purchase, you get a shot at revealing a Black and Golden Ticket which is your entry into the prize drawing. No, you won’t get the chance to inherit an entire chocolate factory, but you can win $500 to spend at any love, Pittsburgh store! With a wide selection of handmade gifts, stationery, home goods, t-shirts, tasteful Pittsburgh-themed gifts, seasonal items, and jewelry, there will be lots to choose from. In addition to the grand prize winner, three runner-ups will also be selected to receive a love, Pittsburgh Prize Pack valued at over $100.

The rules to the contest are simple:

Purchase a love, Pittsburgh Chocolate bar between June 1, 2022 and July 3, 2022
Open your chocolate bar to see if you have a Black and Golden Ticket inside
Return your Black and Golden Ticket to any love, Pittsburgh store between June 1, 2022 and July 3, 2022 to enter into the prize drawing
Winners will be announced the week of July 4, 2022 via Instagram

Owners Kelly Sanders and Monica Grunick are ecstatic to be celebrating five years of sharing the talent of Pittsburgh artists and makers. Along with wanting to showcase local artists, their love of the city and its quirks was the inspiration for their first store located at 301 Shiloh Street on Mount Washington. In the five years since their first store opening they have expanded to two more locations, 805 Liberty Ave in Downtown Pittsburgh and 1728 Penn Avenue in the Strip District.

love, Pittsburgh’s mission is to support artists, makers, and small businesses from the Pittsburgh region. In doing so, they’ve curated a collection of original handcrafted goods entirely from local sources.

The mission of love, Pittsburgh has been upheld since the first store opened five years ago, and it will continue on in the many years to come. "It has been thrilling to see our small love, Pittsburgh baby born 5 years ago on the fourth of July, grow into what she is today. From opening with 40 Pittsburgh based artists to featuring over 120 today, our mission of supporting all things local continues to grow. Not only with our curated gift assortment, but especially with our Dreamy Team of 15 wonderful women. love, Pittsburgh is also bringing in local influencers to participate in the Black and Golden Ticket contest and spread the excitement of the giveaway. Keep an eye out on social media for their chocolate bar unwrappings.
