Maverick Objects melds metals and raw stones together to create unique pieces inspired by art and ancient cultures in order to allow wearers to appreciate the beauty in raw, natural things.
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND AND THE STORY BEHIND WHY YOU STARTED MAVERICK OBJECTS?
So the story behind Maverick Objects goes way back to the young age of 6 when I discovered my love of rocks and mining. My parents fed into my passion by taking me to various caves, mines and generally being in nature which allowed me to grow a vast mineral collection. It was at the age of 13 when I decided I wanted to learn how to make jewelry so I took a few workshops and classes on the weekends and in during the summer. I then took a break when I went off to college and decided to try the more traditional route of being an adult. Quickly I realized that I was meant to be an artist and not in the corporate world so I decided to mash my two passions- mining & jewelry making- and Maverick Objects was born.
