Recipes for a Clahdy Day in Pittsburgh

Recipes for a Clahdy Day in Pittsburgh

On the cloudiest and rainiest days in Pittsburgh, it’s not hard to envision staying inside cozied up all day. When the weather isn't great outside, this makes for the best days to try out a new recipe or an old favorite.

"Everything" Eggs and Rice

While eggs and rice are may sound like a humble meal, adding our love, Pittsburgh everything salt to it takes it to another level.

I start by getting my eggs ready, soft boiled is my fav. Then cook your rice
and saute onions and peppers. Combine the rice, and sauteed veggies with cheese and love, Pittsburgh everything salt. Place your eggs on top of the rice mixture and enjoy! :)

PGH Pancakes

If you’re looking for a warm and filling breakfast made with local ingredients, this one is for you!

Prepare your CorEats pancake batter according to the directions on the bag.
Gather some of your favorite berries and maple syrup (try the local Roseum’s Maple Syrup we carry in the shops). Top the pancakes with the berries and syrup. An easy-peasy comfort food.

"Best Ever" Banana Bread

Banana bread is always a tasty snack. Check out how to use best ever granola to add a fun spin on a classic. Follow Sarah at Best Ever Granola recipes for her best ever banana bread and more recipes!

Caprese Salad with a Tiny Twist

This one is a summer staple (or anytime).

Gather your regular fixings for a caprese salad (tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, salt and pepper). The twist comes with the olive oil! Instead of using regular Extra Virgin Olive Oil try using Liokareas’ Cold Fused Basil Olive Oil.
